Sircely and Barnes at Food Coop 50th Anniversary
It’s remarkable to consider how the Food Coop has been active in Port Townsend for fifty years(!!). Working at the old Food Coop store was one of my first jobs upon moving to Port Townsend, and when it moved to the new store, construction foreman Phil Johnson approached me as a volunteer on the crew, handed me a post hole digger, and sent me out front to dig holes for the new signposts. I am so happy to be a member, I shop there all the time. Danny Barnes is a coop member too, and we’ll play banjo and mandolin to help coop members celebrate fifty years(!!) at the fairgrounds on May 4 at 5pm.
The Food Co-op invites all Coop members to come and celebrate its 50th year of Cooperation on May 4th 2022; 4pm -9pm at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. Musical guests include Uncle Funk and the Dope Six, Matt Sircely & Danny Barnes, Alexa Sunshine-Rose, and the Unexpected Brass Band.
Games, music, food, friends, prizes and a shared purpose; it’s a Coop Party.
